# Importing documents

The app supports the following text files: rtf, pdf, docx, txt. Note that when it imports any document with formatting, it will strip that formatting to turn it into plain text. For this reason, we recommend exporting your document (or saving it as) **plain text.**\
\
It will support writing it from your inbuilt Notes app. You need to save them to your files.
